To show the passage of time while Aviva and Roya's relationship builds, I made decorations for various times to hang in Aviva's side of the bookstore. The decor not only establishes time, but also speaks to the cozy nature of the bookstore. They are made to look handmade.

The books in the store were arranged deliberately both by title significance in certain frames and generally by color with warmer tones on Aviva's side and cooler tones on Roya's.

Books were almost a character in this film. To Aviva books are her companions. Her teachers. Her means of traveling.

Roya's costuming mimicked a sense of armor both as a defense from her broken heart and a tool in her dimension travels. Dark tones, leather, lot's of eye makeup.

Aviva's costuming was "springtime personified" as Ilana put it. Pastels and soft neutrals, flowy and warm.
Aviva's apartment was designed to be realistic for a young woman while also representing her whimsical nature and love of books.

Roya's bookstore closes. I removed many books added closing signs and boxes.

In a flashback in Roya's dimension, I had to differentiate the outside world from what we recognize as Aviva's and presumably our own. I chose this location and planned on the weather so there would be this cold otherworldly tone to the space. The Aviva pictured here is not the Aviva we know. I chose a leather outfit to aid in distinguishing the difference in their characters.
